Frédéric & Leny Mondin
Laurent, one of our students, lived through exactly this shift. He puts it this way: “I realized God doesn’t step into my story — I step into His.” Let us explain
We met the God of the nations!
We’re a French-Bolivian couple. In 2016, we were pastoring in a struggling La Paz neighborhood. Then we took the Perspectives on the World Christian Movement course… and our lives were changed. We were gripped by God’s passion for every people on earth. No one pushed us into it. Something unstoppable simply took hold that day, and we could never again pretend we didn’t know.
So we felt called to a ministry of mobilization: helping Christians to understand what the Bible says about our role in the world and pointing them to ways that they can become involved.
Each dot on this map represents 50,000 people. Blue dots mark where Christians live. Red dots mark those with no access to the gospel. Green dots show where “mission money” actually goes. The imbalance jumps out immediately.
The Church holds 9,000 times more disciples and 3,000 times more money than it needs to reach every people group on earth. The problem isn’t a shortage of resources — it’s a shortage of awareness. That’s exactly where mobilization steps in: spreading the passion of a God determined to be glorified among all nations.
Serving with WEC France
As we began mobilizing believers in Bolivia, God called us to French-speaking Europe. In February 2017, we moved to France and a few weeks later, “by chance,” we ran into the directors of WEC France at a conference. We were speaking the same language and carrying the same vision. Joining forces was the obvious next step.
We now serve as WEC missionaries in the ministry of missions mobilization.
Perspectives on the World Christian Movement in French
Since 2023, we’ve been coordinating this course across French-speaking Europe from our base in Alsace — a hybrid format, in-person and live-streamed at once. It’s a real technical challenge! Students join us from France, Switzerland, and potentially Belgium.
Transform
Turning passive believers into active disciples for God’s global purpose.
Revitalize
Reigniting the fire for local and cross-cultural evangelism in a highly secular society.
Bridge
Breaking down anxieties so that local churches can become gateways to populations that have never heard the name of Jesus.
Through this 16-week discipleship journey, we encourage Christians to worship a God who is bigger than their personal needs — a God who looks outward and is fiercely determined to expand His Kingdom. That changes so much how we follow Christ and experience the fruit!
Changed lives — hearts turned toward the nations
Our students describe this same turning point:
This training is a strategic breath of fresh air for church leaders carrying the heavy weight of daily ministry. I discovered theological keys I wish I had known at the very beginning of my ministry.
Markus, seasoned pastorThe course shattered my rigid mindset toward the Syrian and Afghan students arriving at my school. I learned to take a genuine interest in their heart language, which opened unexpected doors to share my faith right inside the secular school system.
ChristelleInstead of trying to drag the local kebab shop owner into my church building at all costs, I’ve learned to build an organic friendship right where he is. The connection is much more direct.
ElisabethI was stunned to realize that the real obstacle to the gospel is rarely the message of the cross, but our own religious and cultural baggage. Now I feel, more sharply than ever, what it costs others to come to Christ.
RaphaëlTogether, let’s carry the vision of the enormous remaining task… and unleash the Church’s formidable potential to finish it.
